MVA with Entrapment

Just after 1030 on Saturday 09/09/2023, Station 12, L12, R66, Station 670 & M6921 were dispatched by Berks County Department of Emergency Services to the intersection of Park Rd & E Wesner Rd in Maidencreek Township for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Deputy 12 arrived on scene and found 3 vehicles with one SUV overturned, and confirmed 2 victims entrapped as well as additional patients requiring EMS. Additional EMS units were immediately dispatched, while Deputy 12 established command, coordinated extrication, triaged with Truck 12’s officer and the EMS branch director. Truck 12 and Rescue 66’s crews worked in collaboration and effectively performed a “roof flap” and extricated both patients in under 15 minutes while attending to all victims involved. #blandonfire
